2026 Intern
Born and raised Atlanta, Georgia, Jasmine obtained her bachelor’s degree in history with a license to teach history from Tennessee State University in the Spring of 2023. Currently a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Alabama, she is completing a Masters in Women’s Studies and a certificate in Archival Studies.
Within the last year, Jasmine has also become a guide for the Hallowed Grounds tour. This is a guided walking tour that focuses on the history of slavery, integration, and the challenges of memory at the University of Alabama. She is passionate about creating accessibility within learning environments that engage various learners. Influenced by critical archival and feminist theory, Jasmine is interested in learning opportunities that challenge traditional ideas of historical education and centers community perspectives. Anticipating graduation in December of 2026, she plans to develop accessible educational programing within a library, museum, or archive.
