Chanah is a recent graduate of The George Washington University’s Museum Studies Graduate Program and earned her bachelor’s degree from Howard University in 2021. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to preserving and amplifying the cultural legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, particularly through the rich history of HBCU radio.
Chanah is passionate about safeguarding the voices, stories, and soundscapes that have shaped Black intellectual life, community dialogue, and cultural expression across generations. Her interests center on archival preservation, oral history, and public-facing storytelling that makes these histories accessible and meaningful. She aims to support initiatives that document and sustain the impact of HBCU radio as vital sites of knowledge production, activism, and creativity. Through her work, Chanah strives to honor the enduring influence of African Diasporic cultures and contribute to a more inclusive and representative historical record.
