The project’s field archivists collaborate with HBCU radio stations and library professionals on campuses to uncover and assess physical and digital audio collections of original programming created at stations. They help develop strategies to care for recordings and assist in carrying-out recommended actions, such as rehousing, relocating, inventorying, and shipping recordings made on obsolete media to the Northeast Document Conservation Center for digitization by audio preservation engineers.
